Next, Khenpo Chophel will lead participants into the foundation of Buddhism, starting with its essential meditation techniques and foundational principles.

Mindful Self-Compassion Workshop

This experiential workshop led by Lama Nancy Burks focuses on increasing our awareness of our own unhealthy patterns of relating to ourselves. Research in recent years has shown that self-compassionate people tend to be happier and healthier, both mentally and physically. Through mindfulness exercises and supportive group discussion, we will work on developing new habits that we can carry into our daily lives.

Join us on the fourth Saturday as we worship and provide a feast offering to all our students and members! At a feast offering, or tsok, we meditate on enlightened qualities we need in our lives, give food offerings to them, and take on those qualities for the benefit of all beings.
