Meditation on Compassion 🎥
Having spent the past year building stability of mind in our Saturday meditation sessions, we’ll now change the focus to building our store of compassion through Lojong, or mind training. Mind training aims to open our hearts and nurture genuine care for all beings. By recognizing that everyone shares the wish to be happy and free from suffering, we can broaden our focus to include all beings, creating a connected, caring awareness. Practices like Tonglen (taking and sending) help us cultivate greater compassion for ourselves as well as others. This course will be ongoing, and participants can attend whenever they wish. It is suitable for all levels and no prior meditation experience is required. Through creative exercises and experimentation, we will begin by exploring the practice of “taking” or “welcoming” whatever life throws at us. This approach helps us let go of our preoccupation with our own worries, deepening our spiritual journey and fostering genuine care for everyone. 10:30-11:30am every Saturday; suitable for all levels
