Meditate Anywhere 

Join us as we experience meditation in the fast-paced environment of downtown Ann Arbor. Learn to practice mindfulness in everyday situations, so that we can bring calm-abiding from the cushion into our everyday lives as part of our post-meditation.

This event will leave from Karuna Buddhist Center at Noon and will involve walking and sitting meditation around downtown.

When: May 24, Noon – 1:00pm
Where: Leaving from the center, we will stop at Liberty Plaza and Sculpture Plaza in Kerrytown before walking back to the center.  

Khenpo Chophel will lead this workshop, giving instructions for focusing on breath, sense input, and body movements during both sitting and walking meditation. You will be able to use these methods to stay mindful and present wherever you go. 

What to Bring:
Comfortable walking shoes and rain gear
A cushion or blanket to sit on
An open mind and a willingness to explore
