This experiential workshop led by Lama Nancy Burks will focus on understanding our own unhealthy patterns of self-criticism and learning practical techniques for lessening their negative impact. Based on the book The Self-Talk Workout: Six Science-Backed Strategies to Dissolve Self-Criticism and Transform the Voice in Your Head by Rachel Turow, PhD (Shambhala, 2022), we’ll practice “taming our inner critic” in a supportive group situation.
