Join us June 29th for a workshop with instructions for meditating on Amitabha, the Buddha of Boundless Light. This practice is one of the most important tantric practices done at our center and around the world, and Mahayana Buddhists revere Amitabha for his vow to save all beings. In this workshop, participants will receive instructions on how to meditate on Amitabha in addition to the oral transmission, or lung, for the practice.
There will be an Amitabha feast offering, or tsok, featuring the practice to follow the morning session. Feast offerings like these bestow blessings by partaking of a formal meal with enlightened beings, and they are fitting times to reaffirm our vows and commitments like those we take as Vajrayana Buddhists.
