We invite you to join our sangha for a meaningful film screening at the University of Michigan—an evening to reflect together on lineage, devotion, and the living transmission of wisdom. The screening is happening Feb 15th from 5-8pm at the State Theater.
The film, Unmistaken Child, follows the extraordinary journey to find the reincarnation of a revered Tibetan master. It is a moving portrayal of faith, responsibility, and the depth of the teacher-student relationship within the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
We are especially honored to welcome Geshe Tenzin Zopa, who was entrusted with leading the search for the child featured in the film.
About Geshe Tenzin Zopa
Recognized as the reincarnation of Lama Konchog at a young age, Geshe Tenzin Zopa trained at Sera Je Monastic University in India and later received the Geshe degree after decades of study and debate. In Unmistaken Child, he is seen carrying the profound responsibility of identifying his teacher’s rebirth—an intimate and rarely witnessed process within Tibetan Buddhism.
This evening is an opportunity to witness that story together and reflect on what lineage means in our own practice—whether you are a lifelong Buddhist or a secular meditator exploring deeper questions.
